It was just a few months ago that America was engaged in an adult conversation with V.P. Elect Joe Biden concerning the testing of President Elect Obama’s leadership by terrorist. The media ridiculed him for his remarks. But the new President inherits a further problem which seem to begin now with the reactions to the incidents surely to happen after he is officially sworn in.

Question: Has any President in your lifetime been handed a bigger set of challenges than President elect Obama? Are you confident he will be successful in his approach to these issues?

Question: Why does America seem to have an aversion to forthright conversations concerning issues that affect us all?

There seems to be an alarming difference in the way we are evaluating the problems in the banking sector from those in the manufacturing sector. The banking sectors problem finds it foundation in greed. Subpar loans and the hunger for profits collided with a poor economy and high interest rates which resulted in historically high loan default levels. The auto industry is accused of being slow to innovate and largely non-competing, offering a product that America supposedly does not want. Both industries are basically being accused of not doing a good job in their prospective fields.

And what about the workers? There is fundamentally something wrong with a bailout that addresses the problems of the wall street connected individual to the tune of $200 billion dollars but finds it incorrect to help the factory worker with a $25 billion loan connected to an industry that arguably is connected to approximately 4.5 million jobs.

Question: Do you see an inequity in the opportunity offered to the banking industry and the auto manufacturing industry? Are you in favor or opposed to the economic bailout?

How have the events of the recent weeks impacted your perception of your potential and possibilities and your perspective of the world around you?

In order to be successful perception and perspective must constantly be open to adjustment. Simply, perception is a matter of how you see yourself while perspective is the fruit of perception. How you see yourself effects how you see the world around you.

It is the biblical principle of the beam and the mote. You see others and your environment through the filter of your own identity.

Being teachable allows your perception of yourself to change. People who are reluctant to change often are hard to teach in their specific areas of challenge. They don’t adjust well.

That adjustment allows you to react appropriately to the shifting environment you must negotiate each day of your life. Those who do not react to the challenges of one’s environment will usually miss opportunities that are significant and related to your destiny.

If you are an individual who does not accept change well, you may not be reacting appropriately to the positive changes God allows to come your way. It is important to remember that most significant opportunities that introduce change are usually situations that will proceed without your participation. A train you are scheduled to ride upon will leave the station whether you are aboard or not. In other words divine opportunity is seasonal and those who miss them usually do so because they don’t react to change well.

The recent political events should expand the platform for your thoughts and perception. It is absolutely valid to say most people who desired to see an Obama or McCain victory had to believe in their chosen candidate with an element of doubt or disbelief. For those who supported McCain, there was the reality that the ticket was lacking many of the strengths needed for victory. There was an element of disbelief. For those who supported Obama, there was the desperate nagging belief that produced an element of unbelief. Was it possible to elect a member of a part of society in a society that identified it largely as a problem?

There have been a lot of opinions about the Obama victory. I have heard of evangelicals that believe the world was coming to an end, African Americans who said Obama was being made an idol and God was going to judge us for electing him. All of these people were bible believing individuals. If so, the question is do they believe the biblical concept that God is ultimately responsible for people who are elected to positions like Kings and Presidents. If so that would imply they were having a problem with the will of God.

My question to you today is this. Do you believe Obama’s victory is divinely orchestrated?

On the night of December 31, 2007 the Lord gave me a Word for the World. It was prophetic, relevant and has been confirmed as 2008 unfolded as a living parable before our eyes. I do not highlight the prophetic portion of my spiritual gifting because it directed at the Kingdom, the nation and the world and there are many who assert themselves as prophets but lack manifestation and confirmation on a broad scale. It is my practice to wait for event confirmation and the individual testimony of others.

Those of you who are familiar with that night may not know I have preached that particular message all over the world in my travels. The theme of the great open door and the presence of adversaries has been shared in churches from New Jersey to Arizona to the Carolinas, Florida, Texas, all over the Midwest, New Zealand and Australia. It was broadcast to as many as 179 nations around the world. Then the Lord began to reveal the integrity of that Word revealed that night in Lindenwold New Jersey.

The number of significant firsts is incredible. From scientific discoveries, cultural breakthroughs, China emerging onto the international stage, great individual achievement along with significant negative events which are signs of great opportunity wasted, we are living in the context of God opening a great door in His Kingdom Context. He is Sovereign! This is a door to years and it is Great!

THE DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED

All year, God revealed the new context we were entering both spiritually and naturally. He that has an ear let him hear. We have entered a very significant context in history by way of a great door God has opened. It is a time of great opportunity as well as unusual opposition. With the Obama victory last night, the Soviet Union presented themselves as the adversary almost immediately. The international door has been announced and opened on an international front. The immediate self identification by the Soviet Union reveals the great international opportunities now open to us. The amount of resistance presented to the president elect during the campaign, especially during the last six weeks, was a spiritual confirmation that the door was opened not only to him but the nation and the world.

This election was so significant for the United States that its outcome either way was going to set the tone for the nation as well as our perception internationally for the next thirty years. The landscape of American politics and international relationships has shifted in a remarkably positive direction.

God has opened a door in the Spirit. We are now in a context of incredible possibility and potential. The door is opened unto you. WALK THROUGH IT!

It is our assumption they are for one event when they are actually spiritual principles God established to perform His will in our lives. There are scriptures you and I have attached primarily to our salvation that God desires to see working daily for you. The Bible is clear. All scripture is profitable so we are thoroughly furnished in all our works.

The amazing thing! Race is still an issue in the U.S.A. The only thing that makes the McCain/ Palin acceptable is race. The only thing that makes the Obama/Biden ticket unacceptable is race. This is what I mean. The lack of successful education, the obvious temperament issues of both McCain and Palin, the lack of credentials as well as the personal issues each of them faces are acceptable to those who support them. These same characteristics would be unacceptable in a minority candidate. If you take the black off of Obama, look at his secular characteristics and accomplishments, compare him to other historic candidates who became president with similar age and experience similarities, it is impossible to consider oneself as a realist and discount race as a very uncomfortable but real issue in this race and in America.

As an individual who was purposely put in multicultural social, educational, occupational and recreational paradigms by my mother to prepare me for the realities of life in America, I may have an advantage by that exposure. I don’t have some of the overt sensitivities as it relates to race.

Do you think Americans are proactive enough when preparing our children for the realities of the society they must face? What do you see as the effect of race on the two party system and the nations preferences during this election cycle?

The subject of abortion is a major position point for many Republicans. The narrow candidacy view of many voters allows them to ignore the strengths of a candidate and halo on one characteristic or one point of platform emphasis.

Many evangelicals have decided the Republicans are the best hope for reform as it relates to this hot subject.

Here’s my problem and something for you to consider. If the Republicans were serious about Roe versus Wade, why didn’t the Republicans who for 7 years controlled both houses and the Supreme court change things sooner? If the Republican promise to evangelicals was more than lip service, why didn’t they change the legislation when they could?

Was it a ploy to lure the evangelical vote? Have the people who understand these things already calculated the short term memory they must think we have?
